OHIO — A 20-year-old man was arrested Saturday night after a shooting at a motel in Willoughby, according to police.
The Willoughby Police Department said officers responded to the Skylight Inn at 34600 Maplegrove Road at approximately 9:17 p.m. on Feb. 14 after receiving reports of a shooting.
When officers arrived, they found an adult man suffering from a gunshot wound to his leg. The Willoughby Fire Department transported the victim to University Hospitals Lake West Medical Center. He was later airlifted to University Hospitals Main Campus for additional treatment.
Police took a 20-year-old male suspect into custody a short time after the shooting. Authorities have not released his name.
Investigators described the incident as isolated and said there is no ongoing threat to the public. The case remains under investigation.
