OHIO — A 24-year-old man died Saturday night after crashing his dirt bike in Mount Vernon, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Troopers said Dylan Severns was riding near the intersection of Walnut Alley and Sunset Street just before 11 p.m. when he struck a utility pole wire.
Severns was transported to Knox Community Hospital, where he died a short time later.
The highway patrol said Severns was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. Alcohol and drugs are suspected factors in the incident.
The crash remains under investigation.
