SOUTH CAROLINA — A juvenile is facing charges after deputies say a stolen vehicle out of McColl led to a chase in Marlboro County on Saturday.
According to the Marlboro County Sheriff’s Office, deputies recovered a car that had been reported stolen from the town of McColl earlier in the day.
When deputies attempted to initiate a traffic stop, the suspect fled, prompting a pursuit. Authorities said the vehicle was eventually stopped without further incident.
The juvenile was arrested and charged with grand larceny of a motor vehicle and failure to stop for blue lights. Deputies said the suspect was transported to a Department of Juvenile Justice facility in Columbia.
The sheriff’s office added that the juvenile is currently on probation for a similar offense.
