FLORIDA — A rollover crash on the Florida Turnpike in Boynton Beach left one person dead and six others injured Saturday morning, according to Palm Beach County Fire Rescue.
Rescue crews responded to the crash near mile marker 90 after reports of a vehicle rollover requiring extrication. When firefighters arrived, they found an SUV and a truck with severe damage and multiple victims at the scene.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene.
Five people were transported by ground to a local hospital as trauma alerts. A sixth injured person was airlifted to a hospital, also as a trauma alert, authorities said.
The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the crash.
