SOUTH CAROLINA — A deadly head-on crash in Spartanburg County is under investigation.
According to the Spartanburg County Coroner’s Office, the crash happened just before 10 p.m. on Interstate 26 near Mile Marker 44. The South Carolina Highway Patrol responded to the scene along with the coroner.
Officials said 87-year-old Robert Terry Homesley of Alexis, North Carolina, was killed in the crash. He was pronounced dead at the scene. A forensic examination is scheduled for Saturday morning.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
