MICHIGAN — A drug investigation on Detroit’s west side led to the seizure of several pounds of narcotics, firearms and thousands of dollars in cash Wednesday, authorities said.
According to the Detroit Police Department, officers executed search warrants on Feb. 11 at homes located on Coplin, Drexel and Lakeview streets near the border of Grosse Pointe Park.
During the searches, police said they recovered approximately 2.5 pounds of cocaine and 1.5 pounds of fentanyl, along with other drug-related contraband. Investigators also seized three firearms and $11,199 in cash.
Authorities estimated the street value of the seized drugs at $58,752.50.
One person was arrested in connection with the investigation. Police have not released the individual’s identity or potential charges.
The investigation remains ongoing.
