OHIO — A 47-year-old man was taken to a hospital with suspected serious injuries Thursday night after being hit by a vehicle in a Dayton neighborhood, police said.
Just before 8 p.m., Dayton officers responded to a report of a pedestrian struck in the 2100 block of Kipling Drive near St. James Avenue, according to a Dayton Police spokesperson. A vehicle traveling north on Kipling struck the man who was in the roadway.
After hitting the pedestrian, the driver continued north, lost control and collided with two parked vehicles — a white Ford E-350 and a tan Chevrolet Spark — before failing to stop and identify themselves as required by law.
The injured man was transported to a local hospital and is in stable condition, police said. No arrests have been reported, and investigators continue to work the case.
