GEORGIA — Columbus police are investigating an early morning shooting that left a woman dead and a man injured.
Officers responded to the 4500 block of Gardiner Drive, near Celia Drive, on Wednesday morning after receiving reports of a shooting. Authorities have not released the exact time of the incident.
According to officials, 28-year-old Lexus Antrom was pronounced dead at the scene. A man was also injured and transported to a local hospital for treatment. His condition has not been released.
The Muscogee County Coroner’s Office said Antrom’s body will be sent to the GBI Crime Lab in Decatur for an autopsy.
Police have not released information about a suspect or what led to the shooting.
