Multiple homes and businesses without power in Georgia

GEORGIA — As of Thursday morning, 1,395 homes and businesses across Georgia are without electricity, according to the latest outage data.

The outages represent approximately 0.03% of the 5,364,084 customers tracked statewide. Georgia currently ranks eighth in the nation for the total number of power outages and 14th nationwide for the percentage of customers affected.

Out of Georgia’s 159 counties, Fulton County has the highest number of reported outages, with 324 customers without power. By percentage, Fulton is also the hardest hit county, with about 0.06% of its customers affected.

Statewide, 46 utilities are being monitored. Georgia Power reports the largest number of customers without service, with 579 outages. Meanwhile, College Park Power has the highest percentage of its customers impacted, with 3.03% without electricity.

Utility crews continue to monitor and respond to outages as they are reported. Customers experiencing service interruptions are encouraged to report outages directly to their local utility provider and monitor updates for restoration times.
