PENNSYLVANIA — A man was killed in an industrial accident Wednesday morning in Lancaster, according to the Lancaster County Coroner’s Office.
Emergency crews were called around 10 a.m. to the 1300 block of Arcadia Road near Manheim Pike for a report of a cardiac arrest. The incident was later upgraded to an industrial rescue.
Lancaster city officials said the man was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not yet been released.
A nearby business, RaceKrafters Automotive, posted on Facebook that the victim was not one of its employees. The business said contracted crews had been on the property working to fix water lines at the time of the incident.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident. An OSHA representative said the agency has up to six months to complete its investigation.
Officials have not released additional details about how the accident occurred. The investigation remains ongoing.
