
SOUTH CAROLINA — A driver was killed Tuesday night in a two-vehicle crash in Lee County, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the collision happened around 7:45 p.m. on U.S. 15. The crash involved a 1995 Ford Escort and a 2008 Infiniti sedan.
Authorities said the Ford Escort was traveling south on U.S. 15 when the Infiniti, which was traveling north, attempted to turn left onto Tims Drive. The Ford struck the Infiniti head-on.
The driver of the Ford Escort died at the scene. The driver of the Infiniti was transported to a hospital. No additional information about that driver’s condition was immediately available.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
