
TEXAS — Five people were arrested after a traffic stop in Upton County led to a drug investigation and the recovery of methamphetamine and stolen vehicles, authorities said.
According to the Upton County Sheriff’s Office, deputies conducted a routine traffic stop in January that prompted further investigation. The stop ultimately led law enforcement to a home in the area of East Second Street in McCamey.
During the operation, deputies worked alongside the Texas Department of Public Safety and Homeland Security Investigations. Authorities said they recovered a large amount of methamphetamine and several stolen vehicles.
Mariano Flores Olgin is charged with multiple drug offenses, including manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance, as well as engaging in organized criminal activity.
Gene Mart Evans faces drug charges, two counts of theft and a charge of engaging in organized criminal activity.
Paige Galan is charged with possession of a controlled substance and engaging in organized criminal activity.
Rya McKenna Deleon and Clayborn Lynn Castleman are each charged with engaging in organized criminal activity.
All five suspects are being held in the Upton County Jail. The investigation remains ongoing.
