
TENNESSEE — Two people were injured in a shooting Tuesday afternoon in East Nashville, according to the Metro Nashville Police Department.
Officers responded just after 3:30 p.m. to a reported shooting in the 700 block of McFerrin Avenue. When police arrived, they found a man and a woman inside the location suffering from gunshot wounds, authorities said.
Both victims were transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with what police described as non-critical injuries.
Police said the suspect fled the scene before officers arrived. No arrests were announced, and no additional details were immediately released.
The shooting remains under investigation.
