ALABAMA — The Covington County Sheriff’s Office and the United States Marshals Service Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force are asking for the public’s help in locating a wanted fugitive connected to Covington County.

Authorities say John Caton Lee is wanted on a charge of failure to appear in court related to an underlying charge of unlawful manufacturing of a controlled substance.

Investigators report that Lee has an extensive criminal history and is believed to have strong ties to south Alabama, including friends and family in Covington, Butler and Conecuh counties. Law enforcement has received information indicating Lee has returned to the area on multiple occasions.
