
FLORIDA — One person was critically injured Monday afternoon after a glider crashed in western Boynton Beach, according to Palm Beach County Fire Rescue.
Fire rescue officials said crews were dispatched at approximately 3:15 p.m. to a reported aircraft incident in the 10000 block of Denoeu Road. The crash occurred within a private aviation community, authorities confirmed.
When first responders arrived, they found that a glider had come to rest about 100 yards south of a designated grassy landing area. One individual was transported to a local hospital as a trauma alert and was listed in critical condition. No additional injuries were reported.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash. Officials have not released information about the cause of the incident or the identity of the injured person.
