PENNSYLVANIA — Three drivers were hospitalized Monday afternoon following a three-vehicle crash involving a school district transport van in Lawrence County.
According to Neshannock police, officers were called to Wilmington Road around 2 p.m. after reports of a crash. Authorities said the driver of a New Wilmington School District transport van was traveling southbound when the driver suffered a medical event and lost consciousness.
Police said the van crossed into the northbound lanes and collided with two other vehicles. Officials confirmed there were no children on the school van at the time of the crash. No additional passengers were inside the other vehicles involved.
All three drivers were transported to the hospital for treatment. Their conditions have not been released. Police said all vehicles involved were towed from the scene as the investigation continued.No further details were immediately available.
