
OHIO — A 73-year-old man died Sunday after a single-vehicle crash in Westlake near Crocker Park, according to police.
Westlake police said the crash occurred around 9:15 a.m. on Crocker Road near Wyndgate Court. The man was driving south when his vehicle crossed the center line and sideswiped a northbound car. His vehicle then left the east side of the roadway, rolled over and ejected him.
First responders provided aid at the scene before the man was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Police said the driver of the other vehicle was not injured.
Investigators said it is not yet known whether the man experienced a medical emergency before the crash. Police reported no evidence of braking or evasive maneuvers prior to the collision.
The victim’s identity has not been released.
Northbound lanes of Crocker Road were closed between Wyndgate Court and Hilliard Boulevard while officers investigated the scene. The roadway has since reopened. The crash remains under investigation.
