
OHIO — A Greater Cincinnati man was arrested Saturday evening after allegedly holding a woman hostage and threatening to kill her during a standoff with police in Franklin, authorities said.
Officers with the Franklin Division of Police were dispatched to a residence on Victory Lane around 5:09 p.m. on Feb. 7 following a report of a domestic-related incident. According to a police release, officers received information from a third party that a man inside the home was threatening to kill a female occupant.
Due to safety concerns, the Warren County Tactical Response Unit was called to assist. Police said a standoff followed as officers worked to secure the scene and search the residence.
The suspect, identified by police as Jeremiah Hawkins, was taken into custody without further incident. He was charged with abduction and domestic violence.
Police said the investigation remained ongoing as of Sunday morning. No additional details were released, including information about the condition of the woman involved.
