
LOUISIANA — More than 2,500 homes and businesses across Louisiana are without electricity Sunday morning, according to the latest outage data.
As of the most recent update, 2,599 customers are reported without power statewide, representing 0.11% of the 2,321,359 customers tracked across Louisiana.
Compared to other states, Louisiana ranked fourth nationwide both for the total number of power outages and for the percentage of customers affected.
Outages were heavily concentrated in Orleans Parish, which reported 2,275 customers without power, the highest total of any parish in the state. By percentage, Orleans was also the hardest hit, with 1.17% of customers experiencing outages. Smaller numbers of outages were reported in other parishes, including East Baton Rouge, Jefferson, and Livingston.
Utility data shows that Entergy accounted for the majority of outages statewide, with 2,543 customers without power. Entergy also had the highest percentage of customers affected among utilities operating in Louisiana, at 0.19%. In total, outage tracking includes 12 utilities serving customers across the state.
Restoration times were not immediately available, and utility crews continue working to restore service as conditions allow.
