
PENNSYLVANIA — More than 11,000 homes and businesses are without electricity across Pennsylvania as of Saturday afternoon, according to outage tracking data.
As of the most recent update, 11,254 customers are reported without power statewide, representing about 0.17% of the 6,706,172 customers tracked across the state.
Pennsylvania currently ranks fourth in the nation for the total number of power outages and seventh nationwide for the percentage of customers affected.
Outages were reported across the state’s 67 counties. Monroe County had the highest number of customers without power, with 2,100 outages. By percentage, Monroe was also the hardest hit county, with about 2.12% of customers affected.
A total of 17 utilities are being tracked statewide. PPL Electric Utilities reported the most customers without power, with 4,448 outages. PECO Energy Company had the highest percentage of customers affected, with 0.25% without electricity.
Utility crews continue working to restore power across the state. No estimated time for full restoration has been announced.
