TEXAS — One man was killed late Friday night following a crash involving a semi-truck on U.S. 287 near Bellevue, according to authorities.
Texas Department of Public Safety Sgt. Juan Gutierrez said a 2025 Freightliner driven by 34-year-old Sandeep Singh of Manteca, California, was traveling northwest on U.S. 287 near Belknap Creek Road when the driver failed to maintain a single lane and drifted to the right.
The semi-truck went up an embankment, struck a railroad car on nearby tracks, and then rolled onto its left side, officials said.
Singh was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation by the Texas Highway Patrol.
