FLORIDA — A two-vehicle crash occurred Wednesday afternoon on Navy Boulevard near Patronis Drive, according to authorities.
The Florida Highway Patrol said the crash happened when one driver attempted to pass another vehicle and accelerated through a red traffic signal. Due to wet road conditions, the vehicle lost traction and began to skid counterclockwise, colliding with an oncoming vehicle.
Troopers reported that the driver who caused the crash suffered minor injuries. The driver of the other vehicle sustained serious injuries.
No additional information about the drivers or the extent of the injuries was released. The crash remains under investigation.
