Missing woman found dead in Texas

TEXAS — An East Texas woman who was reported missing in December has been found dead, and authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding her death.

Aumarie Deleon, 21, was reported missing on Dec. 12, 2025. According to authorities, Deleon, who had been diagnosed with several mental health conditions, was last seen walking along County Road 376, also known as Morningside Drive, on Thursday, Dec. 11.

The Smith County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded on Jan. 31 to a report of a body found inside a dilapidated home in the 4600 block of Epps Avenue in northeast Tyler. Deputies located a body in the kitchen area of the residence that was described as being in a severe state of decomposition.

Following an autopsy, authorities confirmed the body was that of Deleon. Officials said the investigation into her death remains ongoing. No additional details about the cause or manner of death have been released.
