NORTH CAROLINA — A man was stabbed to death early Wednesday in Cumberland County, according to authorities.
Deputies with the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office responded just before 5 a.m. to a report of a stabbing in the 2500 block of East Brinkley Drive in Spring Lake. Upon arrival, deputies found a man deceased with a stab wound.
The victim’s identity has not been released as authorities work to notify next of kin.
Investigators said the incident remains under investigation but added there is no ongoing threat to the public.
