One person arrested following drug bust in Texas

TEXAS — A 39-year-old man was arrested Tuesday after a search warrant was executed at a residence in the city of Palestine, according to the Palestine Police Department.

Police said officers and detectives served the warrant at the home of Adam Trussell on Amy Lane. During the search, investigators reportedly found multiple controlled substances, including methamphetamine and THC extract, along with drug paraphernalia.

Authorities also reported locating a large cache of weapons and related items inside the home. According to police, those items included three tactical vests containing body armor and ammunition magazines, an AR-style rifle, two handguns, two shotguns, a lever-action rifle, two suppressors, and various rounds of ammunition. Police noted that Trussell is a convicted felon and is prohibited from possessing firearms or body armor.

Trussell was taken into custody and transported to the Anderson County Jail, where he was booked on charges of possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, and unlawful possession of metal or body armor by a felon.

Officials said Trussell remains in the Anderson County Jail, and no bond has been set.
