
KENTUCKY — Authorities arrested a La Grange man Monday in Bowling Green following a reported theft at a store along American Avenue, according to police.
A news release from the Bowling Green Police Department said Logan MJ Otter, 27, was allegedly observed loading tools into a large tote and proceeding through a self-checkout area, where he paid only for the tote.
Officers later stopped Otter and reportedly found more than $3,300 worth of merchandise believed to have been taken from three area stores. Police did not identify the stores involved.
Otter was arrested and charged with two counts of theft by unlawful taking involving shoplifting over $1,000, one count of receiving stolen property over $1,000, and one count of theft by unlawful taking involving shoplifting under $1,000.
Police said the investigation is ongoing, and no additional details were released.
