OHIO — A growing number of Ohio school districts have announced class cancellations for Tuesday, February 3, 2026, as winter weather and hazardous travel conditions continue across parts of the state.
Most of the confirmed closures are concentrated in southwestern and south-central Ohio, where districts cited forecasts calling for snow and concerns over road safety during the morning commute. School officials said decisions were made out of an abundance of caution for students, bus drivers, and staff.
As of late Monday, districts announcing full-day closures for Tuesday include Adams County/Ohio Valley Schools; Batavia Local Schools; Clermont Northeastern Local Schools; Eastern Local Schools in Brown County; Felicity-Franklin Local Schools; Fayetteville-Perry Local Schools, which will observe a remote learning day; Georgetown Exempted Village Schools; Goshen Local Schools; Loveland City Schools; Manchester Local Schools; Milford Village Schools; Milford Christian Academy; New Richmond Exempted Village Schools; Princeton City Schools; Sycamore Community Schools; West Clermont Local Schools; Western Brown Local Schools; Williamsburg Local Schools; and U.S. Grant Joint Vocational School.
Several of the affected districts had already experienced weather-related disruptions in recent days, and administrators noted that lingering snow, untreated secondary roads, and the potential for additional accumulation influenced Tuesday’s decisions.
School officials in other parts of Ohio, including central and northern regions, said they continue to monitor conditions and may announce delays or closures early Tuesday if necessary. Parents and caregivers are encouraged to check official district websites, phone alerts, and social media for the latest updates, as decisions may change depending on overnight weather and road conditions.
