GEORGIA — A man was shot late Monday afternoon at the Decatur Library, according to police.
Decatur police officers responded to a report of a person shot around 5:10 p.m. at the library, located at 215 Sycamore Street. When officers arrived, they found a man inside the building suffering from a gunshot wound.
The victim was transported to an area hospital, where he was listed in critical condition. Police did not immediately release the victim’s identity or additional details about the circumstances leading up to the shooting.
Officers are actively working to identify and locate any suspects involved in the incident.
