OHIO — A Xenia man was killed in a two-vehicle crash Monday afternoon in Greene County, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The crash was reported shortly before 1 p.m. on U.S. 42 near Richland Road in Spring Valley Township. Troopers said a 2005 Acura TL driven by Anthony Elliott, 67, of Xenia, pulled from a private drive and failed to yield to oncoming traffic.
Elliott’s vehicle was struck by a 2018 Kia Forte traveling southwest on U.S. 42. The Kia was driven by a 54-year-old woman from Spring Valley.
The impact caused both vehicles to leave the roadway on the east side of U.S. 42 and enter the median, troopers said.
Elliott died at the scene from his injuries. The driver and a passenger in the Kia were seriously injured and were transported to Miami Valley Hospital for treatment.
The crash remains under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
