FLORIDA — A death investigation is underway after a man was killed in a shooting in Tampa early Monday morning, authorities said.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office reported receiving a call just after 6:30 a.m. about a shooting near the intersection of North Nebraska Avenue and 129th Avenue.
When deputies arrived at the scene, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Detectives said the shooting is believed to be an isolated incident. The case remains under investigation, and no additional details were immediately available.
