
FLORIDA — A suspect is in custody following a violent incident Friday night on Aein Road in Union Park, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies were called to the 2800 block of Aein Road at approximately 7:30 p.m., where they located a woman who they initially believed had been shot. She was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
In an update released Saturday morning, deputies said investigators later determined the woman had suffered other types of injuries. She remains hospitalized in serious condition.
After leaving the woman’s residence, deputies said the suspect fired shots in the street, striking a man in his 30s. That victim was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
Deputies later located the suspect, who was found alive but suffering from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The suspect was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office said the incident remains under investigation and no additional information is available at this time. No names have been released, and further details about the suspect have not been disclosed.
