
GEORGIA — Three people were arrested and thousands of dollars in stolen property were recovered Wednesday, Jan. 28, during the execution of a search warrant at a home in Lee County, according to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff’s officials said the warrant was carried out at 443 Jordan Road after the Mitchell County Sheriff’s Officeidentified the residence as a possible location where stolen property from multiple thefts in Mitchell County was being stored. Deputies from LCSO’s Criminal Investigation Division, Narcotics Investigation Division, Special Victims Unit, and Uniform Patrol assisted in the early-morning operation.
Investigators said several individuals with active and outstanding arrest warrants were found inside the residence, including suspects connected to the Mitchell County thefts.
Those arrested include Taylor Blake Brookerd, charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of fentanyl, possession of drug-related objects, and outstanding warrants for larceny in Calhoun County and a probation violation in Smithville. Jason Michael Pinner was charged with possession of methamphetamine and had an outstanding failure-to-appear warrant from Tifton. Nicole Kristine Sutherland was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug-related objects, and had an outstanding warrant for receiving stolen property in Calhoun County.
Deputies said approximately 38.5 grams (1.36 ounces) of methamphetamine were recovered during the search, including 24.6 grams found on Pinner and 13.9 grams found on Brookerd and Sutherland combined. Brookerd was also found in possession of a small quantity of fentanyl.
Authorities reported recovering 15 items of stolen property, including Milwaukee power tools, Vanguard Instruments Co. electronic equipment, TopCon laser equipment, precision measurement instruments, and other specialized equipment.
