Two people arrested following drug bust in Texas

TEXAS — Two people were arrested Thursday in Howe after officers allegedly discovered methamphetamine and cocaine during a traffic stop, according to police.

The Howe Police Department identified the driver as 35-year-old Jeffery White of Sherman. White is facing a second-degree felony charge of possession of a controlled substance and an additional third-degree felony charge for possession of a controlled substance.

The passenger was identified as 32-year-old Danielle Moody of Pottsboro. Police said Moody was charged with tampering with evidence, a third-degree felony, and possession of a controlled substance, a second-degree felony.

According to authorities, the arrests occurred Jan. 29 following a traffic stop. During the investigation, officers recovered more than two ounces of methamphetamine and approximately 1.4 grams of cocaine from the vehicle.

Moody was booked into the Grayson County Jail on Jan. 29 and remains in custody. Booking information for White was not immediately available.

“Even with cold and icy weather, Howe officers find ways to keep our community safe and hold offenders accountable,” the Howe Police Department said in a statement.
