
PENNSYLVANIA — A man was killed Thursday night in a single-vehicle crash in Northumberland County, according to state police.
Authorities with the Pennsylvania State Police said the crash occurred along State Route 147 in Jackson Township. Troopers reported that Daniel Barnhart, 39, of Herndon, was driving a pickup truck when he lost control of the vehicle and struck an embankment along the side of the roadway.
Police said Barnhart was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and was ejected down the embankment as a result of the impact. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
