One person dead, three injured following vehicle crash in Indiana

INDIANA — One person was killed and three others were injured in a serious crash on Jan. 29 at the intersection of Anthony Boulevard and Gardendale Avenue in Fort Wayne.

According to the Fort Wayne Police Department, officers, along with medics and firefighters, responded to the scene and found two vehicles involved in the crash. Each vehicle had two occupants.

Police said one vehicle was traveling north on Anthony Boulevard while the other was traveling south. The crash occurred when one of the vehicles attempted to turn onto Gardendale Avenue.

All four occupants sustained injuries and were transported to a local hospital for treatment. Authorities said one of the victims, a minor under the age of 18, was listed in life-threatening condition and later died from their injuries.

The Fort Wayne Fatal Accident Crash Team is investigating the cause of the crash with assistance from the FWPD Air Support Unit and the Allen County Coroner’s Office. The investigation remains ongoing.
