
OHIO — A Barnesville man is in custody after police executed a search warrant Wednesday as part of a narcotics investigation.
According to the Barnesville Police Department, officers carried out the search warrant along North Broadway Street near the elementary school in Barnesville. During the search, police said they seized nearly $4,000 in cash, approximately 40 grams of suspected methamphetamine, and a loaded handgun.
Police identified the suspect as William Gibbons, 43, of Barnesville. He was taken into custody and transported to the Belmont County Jail.
Gibbons faces charges related to drug trafficking, drug possession, and having a weapon under disability. Police said the search warrant was the result of an ongoing narcotics investigation.
