PENNSYLVANIA — One person was killed Thursday morning in an apparent rollover crash on Interstate 80 in Centre County, according to emergency officials.
The Snow Shoe Fire Company said initial reports indicated the crash involved an ejection. Authorities reported that Pennsylvania State Police found one person dead on arrival when they responded to the scene.
The crash was reported just after 7 a.m. along eastbound Interstate 80 near the 151 mile marker, approximately five miles east of the Snow Shoe exit, according to 511PA. Photos from the scene showed a pickup truck was involved in the crash.
Emergency crews restricted at least one lane of traffic as they worked to clear the scene. The PennDOT later lifted the lane restriction after cleanup was completed.
Further details about the crash, including the identity of the victim, have not been released. The incident remains under investigation.
