
LOUISIANA — More than 106,000 homes and businesses remain without power following a snow and ice storm across Louisiana as of Monday evening, according to the latest outage data.
Statewide, 106,051 customers remain without power, accounting for 4.57% of the state’s 2,318,122 tracked utility customers. Louisiana currently has the third-highest number of power outages in the United States and ranks third nationwide for the percentage of customers affected.
The most severe outages are centered in Ouachita Parish, where 45,570 customers remain without power. That represents 54.9% of all utility customers in the parish, making Ouachita the hardest-hit area in the state.
Restoration efforts remain ongoing as crews work through icy conditions, downed trees, and damaged power infrastructure. Among the 12 utilities tracked statewide, Entergy is reporting the largest number of outages, with 80,174 customers still without power.
By percentage, Panola-Harrison Electric Cooperative has the highest share of affected customers, with 11.48% remaining without power as repair work continues.
Residents are urged to exercise caution, limit travel when possible, and follow generator and heating safety guidelines while utilities work to restore service.
