TENNESSEE — More than 200,000 homes and businesses remain without power following a snow and ice storm across Tennessee as of Monday evening, according to the latest outage data.
Statewide, 201,185 customers remain without power, accounting for 5.82% of the state’s 3,454,605 tracked utility customers. Tennessee currently has the highest number of power outages in the United States and ranks second nationwide for the percentage of customers affected.
Outages are most concentrated in Davidson County, where 132,295 customers remain without power. That represents 31.7% of all utility customers in the county, making Davidson the hardest-hit area in the state both by total outages and by percentage.
Utility crews across Tennessee continue restoration efforts as hazardous road conditions, ice-covered lines, and downed trees complicate repairs. Among the state’s 66 tracked utilities, Nashville Electric Service is reporting the largest number of outages, with 147,275 customers still without power. NES also has the highest percentage of affected customers statewide, at 31.78%.
Officials urge residents to limit travel, conserve heat, and use generators safely while restoration work continues.
