FLORIDA — The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a double shooting that left one person dead and another hospitalized early Monday morning in the Pine Ridge North I community.
According to PBSO spokesperson Teri Barbera, the shooting is under active investigation. “We are investigating a double shooting, one deceased and one at the hospital. We are still looking for the suspect,” Barbera said.
The incident occurred around 7:30 a.m. in the 500 block of Shady Pine Way, according to the Greenacres Fire Rescue. Fire rescue crews responded to the scene and transported one victim to a hospital as a trauma alert.
Authorities have not released the identities of the victims or details about what may have led to the shooting. The suspect remains at large, and no description has been provided.
The investigation is ongoing, and officials say additional information will be released as it becomes available.
