ALABAMA — A Cherokee man died from injuries sustained in a single-vehicle crash Friday night, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
Troopers said the crash occurred around 7:50 p.m. on Jan. 23 just outside of Tuscumbia. Authorities said 19-year-old Leslee James Edward Weaver was driving when his vehicle left the roadway, struck a ditch, and overturned.
Weaver was transported to Helen Keller Hospital in critical condition. ALEA said he later died from his injuries at the hospital.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said the crash remains under investigation.
