Police searching for wanted theft suspect in Ohio

OHIO — Greater Cincinnati Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help in locating a man wanted on a felony theft charge in Cincinnati.

According to Greater Cincinnati Crime Stoppers, investigators with Cincinnati Police Department District One are searching for James Raymone Malik Jones. Authorities said Jones is wanted in connection with a felony theft involving a firearm.

Investigators reported that on Dec. 30, 2025, Jones allegedly knowingly took a victim’s firearm without the victim’s consent. Police did not release additional details about the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Jones is described as a Black male, 21 years old, standing approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighing more than 300 pounds. Crime Stoppers officials said Jones has a prior history of receiving stolen property. He was last known to live on Meadow Glen Drive in the Bond Hill area.

Jones has been listed as wanted since Jan. 23, 2026. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is urged to contact Greater Cincinnati Crime Stoppers. Tips can be submitted anonymously, and individuals are reminded not to approach or attempt to detain Jones themselves.
