
OHIO — Police are investigating a reported robbery at a Dollar General store in Youngstown that prompted a significant law enforcement presence Thursday evening.
According to a report from the Youngstown Police Department, officers were called to the Dollar General store on Mahoning Avenue shortly after 4:30 p.m. for a reported robbery. Details surrounding the incident remain limited.
A police report states that the store’s manager told officers the business was robbed of an undisclosed amount of money before the suspect fled the scene in an unknown direction. Authorities said no description of the suspect’s vehicle was available at the time of the report.
By approximately 6:30 p.m., the store’s doors were locked and customers were unable to enter. The store, located along Mahoning Avenue, reopened to customers by Friday morning.
Police said the investigation into the robbery remains ongoing.
