PENNSYLVANIA — Several Pennsylvania schools have announced schedule changes for Friday, January 23, 2026, as winter weather conditions continue to affect travel and operations across parts of the state.
In Allegheny County, Westinghouse Arts Academy Charter School in Wilmerding will cancel in-person classes for the day. School officials said instruction will shift to remote learning, allowing students to continue coursework from home while avoiding potentially hazardous road conditions during the morning hours.
In Erie, more widespread closures have been reported. Erie City Schools announced that all schools in the district will be closed for the day. No in-person classes will be held, and families were advised to monitor district communications for any additional updates regarding schedules moving into next week.
Also in Erie, Montessori Charter School will operate on a Remote Instruction Day. Students will not report to campus, but lessons and assignments will be conducted online.
