
FLORIDA — A motorcyclist was killed following a hit-and-run crash Wednesday night in Palm Beach County, authorities said.
According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred around 9:30 p.m. along Military Trail near Canal 10 Road. Deputies said 29-year-old Dayan Rodriguez was riding a motorcycle southbound on Military Trail when a vehicle traveling northbound is believed to have made a U-turn directly in front of him.
Investigators said Rodriguez struck the passenger side of the vehicle and was thrown from the motorcycle. The vehicle involved in the crash did not stop and fled the scene, continuing southbound on Military Trail.
Rodriguez was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead Thursday morning. Authorities said the suspect vehicle has not yet been identified.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the crash and is asking anyone with information to come forward.
