SOUTH CAROLINA — One person was killed and another was injured in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday morning in Colleton County, according to authorities.
Master Trooper Joseph Rowell with the South Carolina Highway Patrol said the crash occurred shortly before 9:30 a.m. on U.S. Highway 15 near Scenic Lane.
Troopers said a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado was traveling northbound on U.S. 15 when the driver crossed the center line and collided with a northbound Toyota Camry. The driver of the Toyota Camry died as a result of their injuries.
The driver of the Chevrolet Silverado was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The extent of their injuries was not immediately released.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the cause of the crash.
