OHIO — A Cleveland man is the winner of a $1 million top prize on an Ohio Lottery scratch-off ticket, lottery officials announced.
The winner claimed the prize from the Billion scratch-off game, which pays $50,000 a year for 20 years. He chose the cash option of $500,000. After state and federal taxes totaling 26.75 percent, his take-home amount will be $366,250.
The winning ticket was purchased at Sheetz #801, located at 6200 Brookpark Road in Cleveland.
The Billion scratch-off is a $50 ticket that offers players a chance to win more than $1 billion in total cash prizes. The overall odds of winning any prize in the game are 1 in 4.10. As of January 16, 2026, two top prizes and 47 second-tier prizes remained unclaimed statewide.
