LOUISIANA — The New Orleans Police Department is investigating a deadly shooting that occurred Wednesday afternoon in the Little Woods area.
According to police, officers responded to a report of a shooting at approximately 3:52 p.m. in the 7000 block of Lawrence Road. When officers arrived at the scene, they found a man who had been shot. He was pronounced dead at the location.
Police said the shooting took place at the Willows Apartments. As of Wednesday evening, no information had been released about a possible suspect or the circumstances that led up to the shooting.
The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities have not released the victim’s identity. Anyone with information related to the shooting is encouraged to contact the New Orleans Police Department or Crime Stoppers.
