
SOUTH CAROLINA — The Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office is seeking additional information after a teenager was dropped off with a gunshot wound Tuesday afternoon.
Deputies said a 17-year-old victim was brought to a relative’s home on Powell Road just before 4 p.m. suffering from a gunshot wound to his thigh. According to deputies, the teen told them the injury was self-inflicted before he lost consciousness.
Investigators said a witness reported the victim was dropped off by unknown individuals driving a black truck. The make and model of the vehicle are not known.
The teen was later airlifted to Trident Hospital for treatment, deputies said. His current condition has not been released.
