OHIO — One person was killed and two others were injured in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday night on U.S. 40 in Franklin County, according to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies were dispatched around 9:18 p.m. to U.S. 40 near Darby Creek Drive following reports of a serious crash. Investigators said a GMC pickup truck was traveling westbound on U.S. 40 while a Cadillac CTS was heading eastbound on the same roadway.

When deputies arrived at the scene, the pickup truck was found facing west in the eastbound lanes of the highway. The driver and a passenger in the pickup truck had been ejected from the vehicle.
The Cadillac was located in a nearby field. The driver of the pickup truck, whose identity has not been released, was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger in the pickup truck was transported to Grant Medical Center in critical condition, but officials said their condition later improved. The driver of the Cadillac was also taken to Grant Medical Center in critical condition.
The crash remains under investigation.
